決定を翻す（reverse the decision）

reverse は「裏返す」と言う意味ですが、decision「決定」と共に

reverse the decision と言うことで決まったことを裏返す、

つまり「決定を翻す」と伝えたい時に使えるフレーズになります。

同じように ban「禁制」を解くことは reverse a ban 、

speculation「予想」を覆すことは reverse a speculation となります。

【例文】 組織委員会は決定を翻し、観客を入れないことを決めた

The organizing committee chose to reverse the decision and decided not to have spectators.
